Brandon Northington
Esq., Partner — Washington, D.C.
Licensed: District of Columbia · Maryland · U.S. Supreme Court
Brandon Northington is licensed to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and before the United States Supreme Court. A native of Georgetown, Kentucky, he graduated with honors from Hampton University with a B.S. in Business Management before earning his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law — where he clerked for the Honorable Theotis Bronson, served as a Student Attorney with the Orange County State Attorney's Office, and was elected by his classmates as commencement speaker.
Brandon began his legal career as an Assistant State's Attorney for Charles County, Maryland, where his trial experience ranged from jailable traffic offenses to attempted-murder cases, and where he worked to reduce the prosecution of nonviolent misdemeanors and expand second-chance opportunities for defendants. He pairs that courtroom background with senior experience in government affairs and regulatory strategy, advising organizations on domestic and international political and regulatory environments — cultivating relationships with government officials, guiding compliance, and shaping advocacy strategy.
Recognized as a 2022 Top 40 Under 40 Attorney by the National Black Lawyers and honored with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives for his leadership and mentorship, Brandon is also a Kentucky Colonel and an Eagle Scout. He serves as an ambassador for the National Museum of African American History and Culture, mentors bar candidates through CLEO, and sits on the foundational board of Prince George's Community College. He is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and resides in Hyattsville, Maryland, with his wife Erika, their two children, and their cavapoo, Orlando.
